• ПАНЬО`ЛЬ (Pagnol) Марсель
(28.2.1895 - 18.4.1974)
   франц. писатель, сценарист, режиссёр. Чл. Ин-та Франции с 1947. Уже известным драматургом заинтересовался звук. кино. Основал собств. кинокомпанию, где под его рук. и по его пьесам были пост. ф. "Мариус" (1931, реж. А. Корда), "Фанни" (реж. М. Аллегре) и "Топаз" (реж. Л. Ганье) - оба 1932. Затем выступал и как режиссёр: "Прямо в сердце" и "Зять господина Пуарье" (1933), "Анжела" (по Ж. Жионо, 1934), "Мерлюс" (1935), "Сезар" (1936), "Возрождение" (по Жионо, 1937), "Дочь землекопа" (1940) и др. Первое место в фильмах П. принадлежит слову, диалогу. Хотя П. теоретически провозгласил создание "заснятого театра", на практике он успешно пользовался приёмами кинематографич. выразительности. Живостью и достоверностью в передаче провансальского колорита, в изображении нар. жизни, быта и характеров фильмы П. были близки нек-рым стилистич. особенностям неореализма. В послевоен. ф. "Манон ручьёв" (1953) и "Письма с моей мельницы" (по А. Доде, 1954) П. в эпич. тонах воспел патриарх, жизнь крестьян, далёких от совр. цивилизации и сохранивших связь с природой.
