• СКОТТ (Scott) Джордж
(р. 18.10.1927)
   амер. актёр, режиссёр. Учился в Миссурийском ун-те. С 1952 выступал на сцене и на ТВ как актёр и режиссёр. В кино с 1958 (ф. "Дерево повешенных"). Специализировался на ролях мужественных, грубоватых, прошедших через многие испытания людей. Обладает также сатирическим дарованием. Снялся в ф.: "Анатомия убийства" (1959), "Доктор Стрейн-джлав, или Как я научился не волноваться и полюбил бомбу" (1963), "Библия" (1965, Италия), "Петулия" (1967), "Паттон" (1970, пр. "Оскар"), "Джейн Эйр" (1970, Великобритания), "Новые центурионы" (1972), "Оклахома как она есть" и "День дельфина" (1973), "Гинденбург" (1975), "Острова в океане" (1977), "Кино, кино" (1979), "Формула" (1980), "Отбой" (1981), "Испускающая огонь" (1984). Пост. социально-критич. ф. "Ярость" (1972) и "Дикарь на свободе" (1974) и сыграл в них гл. роли.
