   франц. режиссёр. С 1951 работал на ТВ. В 1948 - 51 директор Франц. синематеки. Был продюсером и ставил к/м ф., в т. ч. "История слонов" (1958), "Моментальная съёмка" (1960). Снял неск. монтажных ф. - "Непредвиденные новости" и "Времена гетто" (1961), "О наших временах" (1962), "Умереть в Мадриде" (1963), "Октябрьская революция" и "Свидетель" (1967), "Почему Америка?" (1969), а также науч.-популяр. ф. "Животные" (1964), "Дикий праздник" (1975, пр. "Оскар"); худож. ф.- "Музыкальная трагедия" (1969), "Так же далеко, как любовь" (1971). В 1982 пост, ф. "Жак Брель" о франц. шансонье. Пр. им. Виго (1963).
