   франц. писательница, сценарист, режиссёр. Училась в Парижском ун-те. Как романист дебютировала в 1943. Нек-рые из её романов экранизированы реж.: Р. Клеманом - "Плотина на Тихом океане" (1957); П. Бруком - "Модерато кантабиле" (1960); Т. Ричардсоном - "Моряк с "Гибралтара"" (1967); Ж. Дассеном - "В половине одиннадцатого летним вечером" (1967).
   Сц. ф. "Хиросима, моя любовь" (1959, реж. А. Рене) и "Столь долгое отсутствие" (1961, реж. А. Кольпи), а также пост. ею ф. "Музыка" (1967, с П. Себаном) выдвинули Д. в число ведущих деятелей франц. кино. Большинство её ф. с сюжетной точки зрения представляют развитие тех или иных линий её романа "Похищение Лолы фон Штейн" (1964). Д. стремится в своём творчестве к разрушению роли и функции сюжета, осуществляя такую "деконструкцию" также путём переработки одного и того же произв. в соответствии с законами разл. иск-в. В ф. "Индийская песня" (1975), снятом по её роману и пьесе "Вице-консул", персонажи "лишаются голоса" (голос даётся за кадром, несинхронно по отношению к изображению,- приём, использованный ранее в ф. "Женщина с Ганга", 1974). В ф. "Её имя Венеция в пустынной Калькутте" (1976) Д. переносит звук, дорожку из "Индийской песни", изменив при этом изобразит, ряд (остаются лишь голоса героев, к-рые не присутствуют на экране). Новации Д. в области киноязыка, эксперименты со звуком, временем и пространством в ф. часто оборачиваются откровенной абсолютизацией формы. Д. выступает также как автор критич. статей.
