   чил. режиссёр. Учился в Чил. ун-те. В 1965 - 66 работал на киноф-те Католич. ун-та в Сантьяго, где пост. неск. к/м ф., лучший из них - "Электро-шоу" (1966). В 1969 закончил киношколу в Мадриде, снял там же ф. "Ортопедический рай" (1969). С 1971 режиссёр отдела док. кино "Чилефильмс". Пост. ф. "Первый год" (1971), "Ответ октября" (1972). В 1973 преподавал в Синдикате кинотехников в Сантьяго, работал над док. фильмами. После прихода к власти фаш. хунты съёмочная группа была арестована. Отснятый материал был вывезен за границу. В 1979 на Кубе завершил работу над трилогией "Битва за Чили" ("Буржуазия "бунтует"", "Государственный переворот", "Власть народа"), имеющей прогрес. политич. направленность (за 1-ю и 2-ю части - спец. пр. Мкф в Лейпциге, 1976, и др. пр.)
